What do a computer programmer, a lawyer, a teacher and a scientist have in common?

A love of dogs!!! Deep Peninsula Dog Training Club, Inc., is one of the oldest dog training clubs in the Bay Area. We are a working club composed of a diverse membership of about 55 people who share a warm camaraderie centered around their dogs.

We are a nonprofit club, licensed by the American Kennel Club, with the primary goal of promoting obedience training for all dogs. As part of our commitment to the AKC, we host an annual obedience trial, an event open to all AKC-registered dogs and run by AKC regulations.

But that's not all that we do. We offer obedience classes to the public through which we teach responsible pet ownership. Our members and their dogs participate in obedience demonstrations, parades and other public relation events. We have several social events: awards banquet, Christmas party, picnic and judges dinner the night before our annual obedience trial. We keep informed about anti-dog legislation and we conduct annual Canine Good Citizen tests. Most importantly, we share our knowledge and experience with each other and share a warm camaraderie centered around our dogs!

The requirements for joining the club are that you attend two meetings, pay a one-time $5 initiation fee and $20 annual dues and be willing to help with our club projects. Visitors are always welcome. Hope to see you there!
